Privacy Policy

DFW Christ Fellowship (“DFW CF”, “we”, “us”) runs a website at dfwcf.org and a mobile app (the “DFW Christ Fellowship” iOS app). This page explains in plain English what information we collect, why, and what we will never do with it.

1. What we collect

If you fill out the welcome form (dfwcf.org/welcome)

• Your first and last name
• Your email address
• Optional: phone number, age range, marital status, names and ages of family members, the way you heard about us, ministries you’re interested in, and any notes you choose to share
• Whether you opted in to email and/or text follow-up
• Technical metadata: IP address, browser, the date and time you submitted

If you sign in to the mobile app

• Your email address (for email sign-in)
• Your Apple ID or Google account, if you choose those options. We receive only your name and verified email — never your password.
• Anything you choose to add later: profile photo, prayer requests you submit

What we never collect

• We do not access your contacts.
• We do not access your photo library unless you explicitly tap “Add Photo”.
• We do not track your location.
• We do not run advertising or analytics SDKs.

2. How we use what we collect

• To welcome new visitors. When you fill the form, a pastor or member of our connect team gets a notification and may follow up by email or text within a few days.
• To run the app. Sign-in lets you submit prayer requests, mark sermons, and personalize the home screen.
• To send you the things you opted into. A welcome email after your first visit. Optional weekly updates (only if you said yes).
• To moderate the prayer wall. Pastors review prayer posts before they appear publicly in the app. Anonymous posts hide your identity from other members; they remain visible to staff for moderation purposes.

3. Where your data lives

We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate the platform. Each one is bound by its own privacy and security commitments.

• Supabase (database + authentication). Hosts visitor records, member profiles, sermon and prayer data, in the United States.
• Hostinger (web hosting). Serves dfwcf.org.
• Resend (email delivery). Sends the welcome email and any opted-in updates.
• Apple App Store / TestFlight (app distribution and crash reports). Standard iOS metadata.
• YouTube (sermon video). Streamed inside the app from our public church channel.

4. Children

The mobile app and website are intended for people 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Family members listed on the welcome form (including children) are used only for in-person ministry coordination and are not used for advertising or shared outside the church.

5. Your rights

• See what we have. Email welcome@dfwcf.org and we’ll send you a copy of any data tied to you.
• Correct it. Tell us what’s wrong and we’ll fix it.
• Delete it. Ask and we’ll permanently remove your record from our database. Backups age out within 30 days.
• Stop emails or texts. Every email has an unsubscribe link. For texts, reply STOP.
• Withdraw consent. You can sign out of the app or stop using the website at any time. Your data won’t be used after that.

6. Security

We use HTTPS for all traffic between your device and our servers, Row Level Security in our database so only the right people can see sensitive records, and a small set of staff who have access to contact information. We don’t store passwords — sign-in is handled by Apple, Google, or one-time email codes.

7. Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we handle your data, we’ll update this page and post a notice in the app and on the website. The date at the top of this policy will reflect the most recent change.
